Matches played Saturday 8th Bexley Park &
Sunday 9th Horton Kirby September 2019

Hi All

What a good weekend it was!!!

A win at home against Bexley Park giving us 9 points was followed by a superb win away at Horton Kirby, 8 points. At the moment we are sitting in 6th place in the league and a win away at Halls in 2 weeks could see us reach the dizzy heights of 4th place, (here's hoping).

So a massive well done to all who took part, (including super sub Carmen who turned up to cheer us on), and thank you to the ladies for their support in these games.

I attach a photo below of the back drop to the Horton Kirby game which is one of my favourites of the grounds we visit.

More news tomorrow!

Thank You

Roy

Work on the Green

The committee would like to advise all members of the planned works on the green at the end of this season.

We are employing outside contractors to hollow core the green and apply top dressing and re-seeding.

These works will affect our home fixtures of Halls and end of season drive.

Halls league game, Sunday 22nd September, will now be played away at Halls.

The end of season drive, 29th September, has now been postponed for this year. Our last home game will be the visit from Herne Bay on Sunday 15th September.

All away fixtures will remain the same as the fixture list.

The work will commence on Wednesday 18th September. These works are subject to weather conditions but expected to be complete within 2 weeks.

I'm sure you will understand that these works are necessary to maintain the standard of green achieved by our volunteer ground staff.

Thank you for your understanding, and should you have any questions
please ask?

Roy

Sponsoring  Hesketh Park Bowling Club for the 2019 Season.

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all looking forward to the outdoor season.

Just to make you aware that we cannot & must not park under the trees by the green - this is a council directive  not ours.  We can only park on the hard standing at the side of the club and this area is only for disabled blue badge drivers. The Council usually , but as yet not confirmed for this season, allow us to park other cars (pending space availability) during the school summer holidays, but this will still only be for the designated area, see link to plan opposite.

You can park in the Stables car park, Bean Road, and some areas in Danson Road.

Please let all your players know about this.

Look forward to meeting up at our matches,

Regards
