To all HPBC Members
Subject: Re-Opening of the Green - Committee Decision
The HPBC Management Committee met face to face at the clubhouse this morning and one of the important agenda items was to discuss the re-opening of the green or not.
I am pleased to inform everyone that the decision was overwhelmingly to reopen to all members to participate in "roll-ups" only.
I will be instigating a booking system for members to book a rink in advance, it will not be possible for members to "just turn up" and play, everyone MUST make a booking.
The green will officially be open from Monday 17th August, as there are a number of tasks that must be completed before opening up.
Volunteers are URGENTLY needed to help with this work and without your help we cannot open. So, if you can help out and not leave it to the few that that work Mon, Wed and Fri EVERY WEEK throughout the year, even during this lock down period. please turn up on any of the above days from 08:00am onwards.
We do need to follow and adhere to all the Government, Bowls England and Kent County BA covid-19 processes and procedures and I will send this information, on how to book a roll-up, covid-19 info and the "Do's and DON'Ts" in the next few days.
As always, there will be a nominal green fee of £1, including tea/coffee and biscuits.
If you have any questions or concerns then please let me know.
regards,
Hugh Neale

Hesketh Park had their Annual Christmas afternoon on
Sunday 15th December.
The members were entertained by Ray Johnston on the keyboard playing
Christmas carols which everyone sung along to.
A special treat was a performance from member Pauline Griffin
who did Burlington Bertie and was dressed appropriately.
There were sausage rolls, mince pies and nibbles all washed down by mulled wine.
A big thank you to Jackie Amess for the lovely mulled wine and to all the other members who supplied food to make it a great afternoon.
Hesketh Park Bowls Club would like to wish all the members and their families a
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2020.

Matches played Saturday 8th Bexley Park &
Sunday 9th Horton Kirby September 2019
Hi All
What a good weekend it was!!!
A win at home against Bexley Park giving us 9 points was followed by a superb win away at Horton Kirby, 8 points. At the moment we are sitting in 6th place in the league and a win away at Halls in 2 weeks could see us reach the dizzy heights of 4th place, (here's hoping).
So a massive well done to all who took part, (including super sub Carmen who turned up to cheer us on), and thank you to the ladies for their support in these games.
I attach a photo below of the back drop to the Horton Kirby game which is one of my favourites of the grounds we visit.
More news tomorrow!
Thank You
Roy
